In 1947, Kate McMullan was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Kate began her writing career as a teacher. She graduated from the University of Tulsa and got her Bachelors' and Masters' degree at Ohio State University. She taught fourth and sixth grade in a small city in Los Angelos. Kate has since then, written over fifity books. When writing jokes and riddles, she used the name "Katy Hall". But, when writing nonfiction, she use her real name, "Kate McMullan." She has published many works of fiction, while collaborating with her husband, including: "I'm Big!", I'm Mighty!", "I'm Dirty!", "I'm Bad!", and "I Stink!". Some works of fiction that she has written by herself are: "Fluffy", "The Classroom Guinea Pig", and "The Dragon Slayer's Academy".
